The LaPierre Dance Team is a regionally and nationally acclaimed competitive team, recognized for outstanding technique, choreography, and sportsmanship. Dancers compete around New England in 1-3 competitions a year.
LDT members love to take center stage! Throughout their season the team supports the local community and dances at town events in Reading, MA, such as the Fall Street Faire, Dickens Faire and Melrose Youth Ballet Nutcracker!
Be challenged, learn, and grow! Every summer LaPierre dancers attend our Summer Intensive and take class from well know and established choreographers. It's an opportunity for members to step outside their comfot zones and gain new skills in a positive atmosphere.
The LaPierre Dance Team knows in order to achieve its goals they must work together. This group of close knit dancers cheers each other on and builds each other up with positive encouragement in class and on stage. Throughout the season the LDT has Team Bonding activities.
Take part in our Mentor Program! At the start of each season younger and older LDT members are matched up to work together. Our Mentors act as strong role models for their Mentees and help them with technique, rehearsing dances, and preparing for their competition season.
Be a leader! LaPierre Dance Team members have the opportunity to be Class Room Demonstrators in Beginner and Intermediate level classes. This important role introduces dancers to the responsibilities of teaching a dance class. Demonstrators assist in leading class warm-ups & progressions, and serve as an aspiration for young students.
Save the date! Stay informed on upcoming choreography, competitions, and rehearsals with this season's calendar.
