I have two daughters ages 12 and 9 who dance at LaPierre. My oldest daughter started dancing at LaPierre in 2014 because she wanted to continue to see a preschool friend who was attending a different elementary school.  Now eight years later she is part of the LaPierre Dance Team along with that same friend.   To us, LaPierre means family, lifelong friendship and community.  LaPierre is not only a place where my daughters have learned excellent dance technique, it is a place where they have learned so many other important life skills.  How to be a good friend, to be a member of a team, to be a good sport, to be proud when you work hard and how to have a good life balance.     Despite the challenges of the last few years, Sue found creative ways to keep my girls dancing!   We couldn’t be more grateful for all Sue and all the LaPierre faculty. she went from clinging to my waist, to leaping into class and not looking back! Miss Sue was also so patient (and still is) with me as a first time “dance mom” answering any of my questions along the way. The music and dances are just so perfect for our Disney princess loving ballerina. Recitals and performances are top notch!  Entertaining, exciting, and beneficial in ways that really count!   Teaching technique, commitment, dedication, loyalty, and determination in an environment filled with talent and challenge, LaPierre Dance Studio takes the stage!   The opportunity has offered our girls a place to grow and progress, not only physically, but in mind.  The relationships built on the studio floors, back stage, and on stage, have been a great source of both comfort and personal growth for them.  Team hasn't been all or only about the "competition"...the studio and instructors have provided far more "wins".  Confidence, strength, focus, goals, and the thrill!  The smiles on both our girls' faces on that stage, along with those of their friends, tell the story.  They work hard, but they appreciate it, enjoy it, and LOVE it!  They are proud to be dancers at LaPierre Dance Studio! Committed faculty that show up everyday with creative, unique award winning, age appropriate choreography in a supportive extended "family like" atmosphere. A true community where teamwork and techniche are the foundation and it truly shows!   

There are clear expectations and outcomes with strong leadership and respect from the top down. The mentoring and support from our oldest to our youngest students is just incredible to watch!   

Though we've only been with LaPierre for two years, I'm truly not sure where my daughter would be without dance. I am blown away by her growth as a dancer, but more importantly, dance was one of our only constants during the pandemic.

 I remember her first recital when she was so shy that I had to sit on the side of the stage so she could see me.
